In the third part of the relief package, 8 important advertisements, special attention of farmers and pastoralists

Amid the Corona virus epidemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a whopping Rs 20 lakh crore package for the country in his national address. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been addressing a press conference for the last two days to give details of the package. Today, for the third day in a row, he gave information about various advertisements of the package.

🔸 1 lakh crore for agriculture:

The government announced Rs 1 lakh crore for farmers and all businesses engaged in farm products. In which Farm Gate for aggregators, FPO, Primary Agricultural Society etc. will be provided for infrastructure development. Such as for cold storage etc.

🔸 20,000 crore scheme for fishermen:

According to the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Rs 11,000 crore will be used for fishing activities and Rs 9,000 crore for fishing related markets and infrastructure. The scheme will increase fish production to 7 million tonnes in 5 years. Target of employment to 55 lakh people and export of 1 lakh crore. Along with this the fishermen will be given a new boat. 55 lakh people will get employment.

🔸 National Animal Disease Control Program:

1003 cows, buffaloes and goats will be vaccinated under the Rs 13343 crore scheme. 1.5 crore animals have been vaccinated. Still plans to vaccinate 53 crore animals

🔸 Advertising for the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Industry:

15000 crore will be spent for animal husbandry and dairy industry. The aim is to increase private investment in the sector

🔸 Allocation of Rs 4,000 crore for cultivation of medicines:

4000 crore for cultivation of medicinal plants. Aim to plant medicinal plants in 10 lakh hectares. 5000 crore for farmers. Plans for planting in corridors around the river Ganga.

🔸 Rs 500 crore has been allocated for bee keeping

500 crore for bee keeping. 2 lakh beekeepers will benefit. In hay handling, the quality of products such as honey and wax can be improved. New opportunities will arise for rural areas.

🔸 Top to total plan

500 crore in the top-to-total scheme including Rs 400 crore for vegetable production, while giving more relief will now provide 50 per cent subsidy for storage and transportation of vegetables.
