This year Bask presented the full line of expedition outfitting for high altitude climbing and mountaineering from extreme down suits, jackets, bib pants, waterproof-breathable shells to underwear and accessories, as well as sleeping bags and technical backpacks of up to 120 litres capacity. The Bask UIAA collection of goose down-filled apparel attracted the most interest.
The top-of-the-line Russian Goose Down parkas Khan Tengry, Everest and Ertzog were barely on display, for everyone wanted to try them on. Technical features of kids and teens down jackets amazed the audience. Another big hit was Bask sleeping bags collection, especially the tiny Kid Bag,
Aconcagua (the lightweight shortened sleeping bag to be used in a combination with a warm jacket) and trapezium baffled -40 winter bag Karakoram. Even accessories and small items like down hats and down mitts were on demand. And, of course, no one could pass by the exhibit with Eider down samples. Bask backpacks with the 'Active' suspension system were much appreciated and awarded in public. Once again, Bask proved that Russian down products are extremely competitive at the international outdoor market.
Over 100 guides and climbers have stopped by the booth either with interest in our technical outfitting, or to thank Bask for the great service. For instance, American climber David L. D'Angelo, who took part in the Russian Adventure Team's climb to Everest equipped by Bask last year, told us about his first hand positive experience with Bask equipment.
A Bask's sub-brand LMA attracted numerous snowboarders and correspondents of ski/snowboard magazines. It was agreed that waterproof-breathable down filled parka Nucleus with all sealed seams is a unique item of its sort. With its style and fashion, the LMA collection promises to be a hit in the nearest future.
Being the only Russian brand exhibiting at the show Bask has attracted lots of interest among retailers as well as competitors and consumers. High quality and technical features of Bask products didn't leave hearts of Americans untouched. Thanks to Bask's popularity in Europe and 2-year presence on the Canadian market, this brand name was wildly recognised and appreciated. We thank everyone who helped this show to become a success and are looking forward to the next year.
